As i have been present in the world of warcraft since the first beta in 2005. I have made my fair share of characters. Nummerous have been leveled up and then abanded for another to take its place. Still think you should have more than 10 slots pr. server.
But here is the ones I have used alot of time on in the past years. In none particualt order.
Impadin
My trustworthy paladin, he was started when wrath was about a month from shipping. He was quickly leveled to 70 and just standing there being rdy to enter into wrath. As my first or second character.
He was the second character I took off with from Stormwind to venture into Northrend. But the first to hit 80 not long after. I started on him as holy, as that was what was needed in my current guild at the time.
But could not settle with that, I just dont find healing as a holy paladin much fun. So not long after I took my head down the retribution path. And that has been my main specc throughout Wrath.
I have later picked up tanking with him two, and duo those speccs side by side. Both speccs is rather good geared, but with and edge on my retribution specc.

Poshspice
My trans-seksual priest. She started as a female in the Dranei world, she was leveled as shadow. I actually dont remember alot from the leveling on this one. I was rather focused on just getting her to 80. She was made because I like healing, but didnt have a character on max leveling I liked healing on.
Priest have always been an interesting class for me. I still today, see it as the true healer class.
I started out as Disipline healing, when I hit 80. It was the first time Disc. healing have been used in endgame. Otherwise it has always been a PVP or subpar healing option. So all the new stuff surrounding it was interesting. I used some time in this specc, healing in instances and did small scale PVP arena.
But after some time and a sex change. Yeap, dranei male named Poshspice is hot. I got over on the holy side, and been thrilled with the AOE output you can out, with some good overview on how ppl are positioned.
I really like this class and specc, and it is a strong competant on the main character role for Cataclysm. But we will see, im good to change my main on that...
On a sidenote this is also, my making bags machine. Netherweave bags, its such a nice money machine.

Psysica
A steamrolled warrior. And one of my favorite chars I have played in my wow time. The character was started to tjeck a new server out, back in vanilla wow. My server at that time was full with hungarians, nicknamed Hunscalp. (Bloodscalp-EU)
But there was annonced a free transfer from Bloodscalp to a new realm Trollbane. I rolled a warrior on the new realm to tjeck it out. And what a ride I started there, I leveled as fast as I could, enjoying the ride and the growth of my new love.
Soon I was 60 and started grinding my way through the level 60 instances for warrior loot. I was dps to the bone. I started to run Molten Core and later Blackwing Lair as a fury warrior. That time was some of the best in my wow time, a time I look back on with joy. Fun, fun times.
When I was not raiding I was teaming up with a fellow paladin healer in AV. Remember the long war's back and forward. Damn that was awesome with a personal healer. Made it to Knight in there. Just by having fun.
The Burning Crusade expansion came out and the leveling started again. My warrior was my one and only. So full focus was on this guy alone. I came to 70 within a 1 or 2 and was again started on grinding instances.
As the guild I was in at the time, was in need of another tank to start on Karazhan I took the bait and respecced protection. Protection stayed my main specc the rest of TBC.
It was awesome to be the one controlling the runs, pulls and the one that could save a mistake or make em, with awefull consequenses. Tanking was my thing. I OT in karazhan beside another awesome warrior.
My guild broke up and I was in search after a new guild, I found one Master Brewers. They was in Grull when I joined in, and I got into the guild and right into the 25 man MT spot. Talk about an ego boost. I had a really good time in the guild, but loads of internal bad talk.
Made me take my leave when we was going through The eye.
I join a fresh new guild Non compos mentis. I got a place as MT/OT there as well. And we got through most what TBC had to offer.
Wrath came and my warrior was the first I leveled towards 80, but as you know if you have read the part about impadin further up, he was not the first to get there. He was abanded on his way around 76.
And first recently leveled to 80. He is now my money maker in JC. And I use him to take some runs on a low gear basis as tank once in a while. As I still think warrior tanking is alot more demanding = fun, than tanking on my paladin is.
